For those of you in North America this one might be of interest to you. If you ever need to work in fractions or architectural units in the sketch, we now have new options in the sketching environment for Inventor 2011. In the past you could enter something like 1' 2" and we would convert it to a decimal unit such as 14. Now if you type in 1' 2" into an Inventor dimension, it will automatically change it to an architectural unit instead of converting it to a decimal unit as we did previously.
If you want to convert a dimension from a decimal to an architectural unit, you can select the more button from the dimension dialog and change it from decimal to architectural unit (14" to 1' - 2").
Hi Garin,
How can I automatically bring in the weight of a part or assembly into my drawing title blocks (which have a cell named "Weight(Lbs)"?
When I bring in the weight from the Mass properties, I also get a suffix that contains "lbs mass", which I do not require because I already have a cell with the required label.
Thanks

John,
It looks like there isn't a way to add this to your TB without the unit suffix.
